First Friends Meeting is a simple and elegant wedding venue in the heart of Greensboro, NC. We are centrally located to UNCG, Friendly Center, downtown and many hotels, including The Proximity and O.Henry Hotel.
Founded in 1892, First Friends Meeting is a gathering place for those who “seek peace and pursue it.” The Meetinghouse includes a variety of spaces that work well for office and group meetings, retreats, workshops, receptions, and weddings. We gladly welcome LGBTQ, interfaith, and non-Quaker weddings.
The large meetingroom (sanctuary) can seat up to 275 guests and is handicap accessible. Our beautiful downstairs gathering room provides an intimate setting for wedding parties to prepare for the special day. Our well-cared for grounds boast plentiful green spaces and several magnolias, perfect for wedding party and family pictures.
Our fellowship hall is available, should you like to host your rehearsal dinner or intimate reception on-site. The meetinghouse includes a small kitchen for the caterer’s use.
